lol I don't even know who anyone is lol Well I know a couple of you NOW, but I didn't know people were all friends Great job Ayumi, I didn't think you had it in you because I have no idea who you are but your photos were great! As for all the photo editing, is that seriously allowed? ?

As for all the photo editing, is that seriously allowed? ? Photo editing has always been allowed, as long as it does NOT involve you cut-pasting yourself into a different picture. The base picture has to be YOU. Best example before Emmy's avant-garde: This... became this... THAT right there is one of the biggest reasons why Taylor won.

Besides, I got penalized for photoshopping easily as often as I got praised for it, so it all kind of equalled out in the end.
Plus I'd only ever actually used Photoshop one time in my life before this contest, so that hardly constitutes an advantage.

My use of Photoshop definitely got met with mixed reviews. The coloring job I did, looking back on it, was definitely sloppy. The magazine cover and spread I created while playing as Maria got praised. I touched up photos a bit with photoshop in this game and it went unnoticed. Like the Smile week, I used Photoshop to take the bags out from under Gwen's eyes or the Spain week where I took out the horribly noticeable run in Gwen's leggings.
It all evens out. Some overly Photoshopped pictures get slammed for being too worked. Others are praised for the improvements made to the picture.

As for me, I tried to reduce contrast in images (Political issues, Whitney shoot), and sometimes recolour (covergirl, autumn).

For me, I used photoshop to set higher contrast. Sometimes change the color balance and add lens (sun lighting effect) and maybe some face makeup.

The easiest way to to search youtube for tutorials. That how I changed into In retrospect, I probably should've just lightened the image.

ohhhhhhhhhhhh I have never been in a model game where it was allowed lol It's kind of why I ws shocked when Emmy told me she did it. I actually didn't read a lot of everyone else's critiques lmfao I love Taylor's I don't know how to change colouring like that, always wanted to, and how to make a photo B&W but have like a few colour objects. I've lightened photos before, like if it's too dark, but never actually photo shopped photos.

I've lightened photos before, like if it's too dark, but never actually photo shopped photos. That is legal. Emmy never went too far - "adding a hat" has always been on my list of legal things. Recolors are really complicated. Especially to make them look right. Ctrl+U opens the hue and saturation panel which can be used for that but that can be really difficult to do to the extent Taylor did. I would ask her but she has been ignoring me for no reason whatsoever. For a B&W photo with a few color objects (see: my bikini pic in my sig), you need to select the object(s) you want to be in color with the magic wand and then click "Layer via Copy" from the right click menu. Then make a black and white effect layer between the background and copied layer. Select the copied layer and take off any excess. Voila. I have actually never done that before. My bikini pic came like that.

Yeah, recolours are a royal pain in the hiney. I generally avoid recolours like the plague, because it's nearly impossible to get the wand not to pick up on parts you don't want recoloured, (In Taylor's shot, you can see this on her left arm) unless you're prepared to dedicate hours to the project. This was the root pic for my Covergirl shot, and even after recolouring the lips, the background totally diminished the focus. Took me about an hour to figure out to do it without completely destroying the hair. (And then it ultimately killed me anyway, since I'd originally amped the lips contrast up to combat the blue background, and forgot to tone them down, and got smacked for having them stand out too much.)
