Hello Girls!!!
This cycle you girls will compete in a Duo for several weeks. The Duo with the lowest score will be eliminated. One of the models will be put into the Redemption House (The models with the Highest Mark) while for another one, there's no second chance for you.
Let's start our judging session
Team Red (Jamie & Ruby)
Amanda: I really don't like this, unfortunately. Your eyes are squinting unnaturally, and your smile is a tad gaping. This IS a modeling photograph, but it really isn't that great. It's too white to be memorable, and we wanted something else in it that would make you pop. It's a nice picture, but plain and for a photo that should be focused on your pearly whites, it leaves quite a bit to be desired.
Joan: I have a lot of issues with this photo, I wish you re-sized so we wouldn’t have to scroll down to see the picture, also the photo being so huge makes the quality not look good either. Also getting rid of the lime green border and the “just jared” tagline would have been easy since the background is white. I really like your pose here, it is fun, flirty and you look like you’re going out to party. Your smile is nice but something is weird with your eyes. Your eyes are ruining the smile for me. Had to have fixed up the size, border and watermark this photo would have been way better.
Beth: I love this photo. I think you bring the energy and the fact that this isn't just a smile shoot is also great. The dress looks cute on you. The styling is good but I agree Joan. This photo would look so much better by resizing and removing the tag. But overall, I think you did good this week
Anna: Clearly this would have been a stronger photo if you opened your eyes a bit more and looked at the camera, but your actual smile is really quite nice. I am a little put off by the extremely cliché pose, but it does do a good job highlighting the fashion, which I must say is exquisite. I wish you would have payed closer attention to the rules, however, because we specifically asked for a great setting and background, and in this case, the white is not only boring, but it actually takes away from your outfit as well. If this photo had been taken out on the street, with you enjoying a wonderful day out shopping with the girls, I think everything would have come together beautifully.
Amanda: You have a really cute smile. Your entire face is cute. Despite that, it's not the focal point here - we want your smile to light up a room. This shoot is more focused on telling a story of the young tennis player that could, and although I really like that, it's not exactly what we want. Also, given that you're wearing athletic clothing, it's not as high-fashion as it could be. I still like it for what it is, but it isn't exactly what we want. Barring how your partner does, I foresee you being somewhere around the middle of the pack, especially given that you're pretty, there's a story value, and the pose is great. It's a modeling photograph - but for something like Dick's Sporing Goods. Just be sure to impress us with something more high-fashion next week!
Joan: Darling this photo has more balls than Lance Armstrong has on his genitals!!! I think your whole “Tennis” part of the photo is distracting. I wish you did have causal clothes or even high fashion but I think you have a wonderful smile, and I really enjoy this pose. Your legs look gorgeous and my only tiny negative thing about this photo is just the “Tennis” aspect in the photo other than that good job!
Anna: Well, my dear Ruby, unlike the other judges, I'm not going to scold you for not being "high fashion" enough, since you were specifically told to be commercial this week...and if this looks like something from Dick's Sporting Goods, then you are technically right on target. There were three simple instructions for this photo shoot, and I feel you did a fantastic job all around. You've certainly got the commercial look, you have a fantastic setting and background, and your smile is clearly fresh and vibrant (and doesn't look forced either, which tends to happen with this sort of thing). I love that you chose to go with a full body shot, since it is definitely not what was expected with this, and I don't think it detracts from your gorgeous smile in the slightest...in fact, I think the pose and setting only helps to add to the mood. However, I can see where the other judges are coming from in the sense that at first glance, the theme doesn't smack you right in the face, but I love to see you girls get creative.
Beth: I'm with Anna this time. This week should be easy for you, since you're very commercial and I think you did great. I love the setting. Hanging out after a tennis game and still looks pretty. I've done that before. Your look very fresh, energetic and vibrant for me, Ruby. Good job
Team Green (Jennifer & Shannyn)
Anna: My darling Jennifer, you need to learn your angles. Your actual smile is great; it's natural and you seem genuinely happy. Unfortunately, the effect it has on your chin and jaw is not as appealing as it could be. If your face had been angled more, I think it would have improved things dramatically. Your pose is also quite unsettling. Having an almost complete profile shot of your body, with your face pointed straight at us is not only awkward, but it makes your head look huge. However, I am impressed that your overall look matches the setting and background. We definitely get a sense of the fresh and vibrant mood you're going for, but this is a modeling competition, and we need you to be very aware of what you're doing with your angles.
Amanda: I really like this... for the most part. The one gripe I have is what Anna detailed: Your face structure. You look almost manly. Your smile almost removes that unnecessarium, but it doesn't completely. We can see your bones, and it looks unnatural and it certainly isn't beautiful, which robs from your smile. I do like the styling and how it puts the entire photo together, and overall it's a good photo - but that one thing just bothers me. Sorry :/
Joan: I agree with Anna that your smile looks very natural. This whole photo looks natural and not “posey” but with your face towards us and your body facing the left. It makes the pose very awkward, especially with your arm pulling the hair. I like the smile, but I hate the pose. Also I agree with the chin, it is not appealing at all.
Beth: I have to agree with the judges. I really want to like this but it didn't really work out well for me. The makeup didn't suit you and it makes you look older than Joan. The styling is too safe for me. I want to see the fun side of you. But your smile here is very natural. I like that part of your photo
Anna: Well, there's absolutely no question as to what the theme of this shoot is looking at this photo. Your smile is positively radiant, but the severe cropping is unfortunate. If we could just push those borders out a bit, this could really be spectacular. One thing we asked for was a great setting and background, but since all we see is your gorgeous face, this is rather limited. I really am in love with your smile and expression, which is what this is mainly about, I just wish there was a bit more to the overall shot.
Joan: You have an adorable smile no doubt about that. I do not like the shadow on the right side; it covers up part of your face, and since the photo only shows your face we want to see the whole thing. Unfortunately, you don’t have a great setting and that makes this photo just average. It is nothing special but it’s not horrible.
Amanda: Good thing this is only the first round - you have plenty of people you can do better than with an average photograph like this. You have a great smile and your hair looks good, but that's really all I can see here. Nothing else about this photo makes it memorable. Nothing else pops. It's obviously a smile photo, yeah, but we wanted more than just that. This is a modeling game, and here there's no fashion! Fashion is about clothes and how you wear and present them. You become one with your clothes, your body, and you express yourself. This almost appears to be a candid pic - something for Facebook. It's unfortunate, since you have a great smile. Overall, this is merely average. At least it isn't ghastly like other smile photos we've seen before!
Beth: The size of this photo is too small. Your smile is very decent though and you look comfortable but Amanda was right. There's no fashion sense. We can't judge you on your styling. But at least your smile is natural
Team Purple (Gwen & Katy)
Amanda: You look evil. The way you're squinting your eyes and snickering is somewhat intimidating. I see that this is your memory wall pic, and now seeing the full version, I completely get why it creeped me out in the first place - you look like someone I don't want to mess with. It is VERY high-fashion, that's for sure, but only your clothes are vibrant - you aren't. There's no memorable setting, and no sort of freshness. It's sort of like I just walked out of a horror movie. I am really turned off by this. Sorry :/
Anna: I had a feeling you might be one of the girls that would have issues this week. Unfortunately, some people just can't seem to pull off a naturally beautifully smile, and this clearly shows you belong in that group. With this photo in particular, we can see your gums as much as we see your teeth, which is slightly disturbing. Your eyes are squinting too much as well, which only adds to the awkward nature of your expression. As for your outfit, I think it's very interesting seeing you in a fashion designer's interpretation of a marching band uniform, but this is one of those pieces that needs to tell a story; and you doing that cheeky pose against a flat gray screen is not nearly enough to do it justice. Overall, it looks to me as though you've gone too far with some things, and not far enough with others; you really need to find that delicate balance, Gwen.
Beth: I love the styling here. Very bright and vibrant and your smile. I like it but I agree that you should tone it down a little bit. I don't see evil here. I see a fun & happy girl here. I felt the energy from you in this photo
Joan: Well I did pick this photo as your memory picture because I thought you looked very pretty in it. This isn’t the worst I have seen but this isn’t the best. I think you fall into the category of the girls who just fell into the middle and weren’t memorable. You have a very big smile and the clothes are very vibrant. But with the background being blah, nothing in this photo is anything special.
Joan: Wow! You look flawless here; it looks like a shampoo ad. Your pose, skin, hair and lips look perfect. You have a beautiful smile, I like the background but I don’t like how the background matches your top. That is my only complaint, other than that you did a good job Katy.
Anna: Well, I think it's pretty obvious that this is a shot for a magazine cover; the reason it looks so flawless is because someone has spent quite a bit of time touching it up. I'm not complaining though; I think you look spectacular. Your smile is absolutely fabulous, even though your eyes don't seem to be working with you here. I'm also afraid that the overall look of this photo is borderline clinical, but I must admit the simplicity of the silver does make your face pop that much more.
Amanda: I am not feeling the overdose of silver here. Not at all. It sort of makes this bland, and we didn't want bland. I do agree, however, that it's glamorous - it definitely looks like a shampoo ad, and your hair rocks here. Your face sort of looks unnatural to me for some reason (like Anna said about the eyes), but your smile is great and used well here. I personally don't care that this is doctored, since it's definitely a MODELING photograph, and it is vibrant like we requested. It is unquestionably leagues better than your other samples, so props for picking the best one!
Beth: The smile a little bit stiff for me. I don't buy it but I think you look very commercial. Gorgeous hair by the way. Love your skin. Flawless. The styling is too 'Silver" for me. I want "Gold" next time. But I think you'll be okay this week.
Team Blue (Ayumi & Troian)
Joan: This is gorgeous Ayumi! Your explanation says it all really; this photo is perfect for the task because of the smile, location, styling, you nailed it!
Beth: I think the combination of every elements in this photo make it works. But I didn't really like your styling. It felt so catalog. But overall, this is a good shoot, you look very commercial and vibrant.
Amanda: I like this. A lot. It all fits together nicely without being too overwhelming. Your smile is radiant and vibrant, the setting is great, and the styling is memorable - this is definitely a standout. You're very cute and pretty and I really can't find much of anything wrong with it, although I'm not exactly certain what kind of flower that is in your hair. It's kind of weird, but it doesn't take anything away from the photo - it adds something, and this time I like the thing. Great work Ayu
Anna: You are absolutely adorable in this, Ayumi. You've completely nailed the theme, and your smile is fabulous. The setting compliments your expression perfectly, and your outfit is also right on target. My one concern is how the flawless nature of this shot almost takes away from the natural and carefree side of things I would have liked to see. The fact that your face is perfectly straight and centered, and the way you're holding the glass makes everything look quite stiff and "posey"; I would have loved to see you a bit more relaxed in this. However, when looking at each individual element we asked for this week, you have indeed done a fabulous job. The actual photo quality leaves something to be desired, but your personality shines through all of the scan lines and extreme contrast, so it's nothing to worry too much about.
Amanda: I must say that you're very pretty, but at the same time, you don't completely stand out. It's a sort of forgettable photograph, but it's still fresh - you look great, the styling and setting are good, and your smile is warm and inviting. It's just not as memorable as it could be - it could be the black and white background, but that makes your colorful self pop at the same time. Overall, this is good and definitely will keep you standing - it just isn't outstanding or excellent, and since it's week one I will let that go. Good work
Joan: You look very superficial here, and it isn’t bad! The setting is alright, but your pose is fantastic. Your smile is pretty and big! I also like the color’s in this photo, when either it’s the white couch or your purple blouse, very sophisticated and works well together. I am impressed Troian, good job!
Beth: I like this photo. I think the combination of color in this photo really great. Bonus points for choosing purple as one of the color for your photo . Honestly I really like this. You look very commercial. The styling (SHOES!!!) really great. The pose is fun. I think you did great, Troy
Anna: This is a photograph full of contrasts, and I think it's wonderful. Your smile is light and refreshing, yet the setting is cold and refined. Your outfit is sophisticated, yet the single glove gives it a bold edginess. The shoes are absolutely divine, and your pose is pitch perfect for the overall look and feel of this shot. My only criticism is that I'm not seeing "fresh and vibrant" with anything except for that great smile; if the setting and outfit matched your shining personality, this would be flawless.
Team Pink (Miley & Sarah)
Joan: I think you look adorable! You can tell this is before you started smoking pot because your eyes aren't fucked up red as they are now. Miley, you nailed this shot!!! I can't find anything wrong in this photo. You did all of the 3 things Beth asked for and you set the bar high girl!
Amanda: You picked the right one out of your samples this time! That makes me a happy Manda!
This is great - I can feel the energy, and your smile is strong (albeit a tad cheesy but that isn't a major problem). Everything is pretty much what we wanted and I really can't say much bad about it. Great work!
Anna: This photograph defines "fresh and vibrant" (and I think the fact that you've chosen a picture of you at the tender age of fifteen really helps to sell this concept). It looks as though you're bubbling over with excitement, ready to burst out of that chair and dance around the room. I think it's very interesting how your hair has actually completely framed your face in this shot; usually I like to see neck extension, but with the theme being all about the smile, it actually does a wonderful job of keeping the focus where it should be. I think the chair works well to liven up the setting without it being obnoxious, but just stay mindful of how the backgrounds in your shots match up with you, the fashion, and the overall look you're going for.
Beth: Agree with the other judges. I think you did great this week. Very youth, energetic and natural. The pose is cute, and this week is definitely your niche. You look very commercial. Just be careful with your smile. Agree with Amanda. Looks a little bit cheesy
Amanda: There is ONE thing I notice here, an it's your shoes - they're much closer up than your smile is, and that makes my eyes wander there first. However, once it all sinks in and I see the entire picture, it's absolutely wonderful. You have a warm, vibrant smile and the pose is fantastic. The setting is nice, too, and overall it's really strong. The only downside is how you're almost kicking the camera, but really, great work
Joan: Clearly this is from the 90’s; I want to tell you that this may bother some of the judges but not for me. Last cycle I sent a 90’s picture of Michelle Williams and they didn’t like the 90’s feel to it. So remember that in the future. As for the picture, I like this Sarah. I like how your smile is fun and inviting. It is not my favorite photo but it is good. I think this is a good way to start off this game for your first time. Good luck Sarah!
Anna: Light, fresh, vibrant, and natural; you've done a fantastic job here, Sarah. I know Amanda thinks your feet draw away the focus, but I think the posing actually adds depth and brings us into this image, which is a pretty rare thing for this kind of shot. Your smile is fantastic, and the way you're playing with your hair is an excellent touch. The one thing that bothers me about this shot is your right arm; I don't know if it's the angle of your shoulder, or the way your arm looks chubby pressing against your body, but it does seem rather awkward to me. It's a minor thing to quibble about though, because overall you have absolutely nailed the theme, and you look great.
Beth: You look fresh and the energy is there. I like the setting. Be careful with the quality of your photo. The reason why I don't like the photo from 90's because of the blurry quality and the styling just too 90's. It;s hard for me to relate it with the current trend in fashion industry. The shoes are gorgeous by the way.
Team Orange (Emmy & Katie)
Anna: Okay, I must be honest, when I first saw this photo it looked to me as though the Joker had shot you with his "smile gun", and you've fallen out of your chair...a lifeless body with a painful looking smile plastered on your face for eternity. That aside, I love to see you girls take risks, and this certainly pushes boundaries. The image tells a story, it's an intriguing (though somewhat awkward) pose, and you still manage to keep your eyes on the camera through all of this. Unfortunately, your smile looks so unnatural, it actually makes me a bit uncomfortable just looking at it.
Joan: This is a serial killer smile!!! I do love the hair on the ground and your body on the ground. Very different than what the other girls sent in. However, this seems too much of a smile! It is very over the top, plus like Anna said it comes off unnatural.
Amanda: I really have nothing new to add. I've peered at this photo a few times, and it really hasn't grown on me. The smile is sort of creepily cheesy, and it doesn't exactly seem like it's a natural "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" smile. I do think the photo is an interesting concept, but for something that's supposed to be focused on your smile, it really isn't - and the smile you do have would be somewhat of a deterrent to enticement. Uh, you know what I mean!
I do like that it is a risk, but I really can't find much of anything great about YOU in this picture. However, it's by no means awful, so as long as your partner does decently, you'll more than likely stick around.
Beth: Yeah, the smile is too creepy. I'm not sure about the angle. Your pose a little bit stiff. You look like you lost the bottom half of your body to a serial killer. At least you gave us a smile even though it's a little bit awkward
Amanda: Uh, no. It's time for Amanda to get picky again. I don't like how gray this is, and it seems to have some sort of Photoshopping done by whoever took it - your skin looks strange and the already-dull background makes it even duller. There's also that little logo in the corner, which is a distraction - it's easy to Photoshop out of there. You're also showing a little skin, which makes the pose sort of awkward. As for your smile, it's okay, but in a photo this gray, you want your smile to breathe color into it. It doesn't do that. It's sort of blended into the rest of the photograph, thus it isn't vibrant, either. We wanted three things here: Vibrancy, setting, and a commercial presentation. This really isn't any of those. It's too drab to be vibrant, there is no setting, and I could see this on a subway station ad that I wouldn't remember after leaving the place. I do like your hair, but... that's about it. Sorry :/
Joan: I think you nailed the “smile” part of the photo, you have a beautiful smile, good pose and I love the hair being blown back. However, I agree with Amanda that the gray drags this photo down. I think this has a lot of potential to be commercial, but it doesn’t have a great setting or vibrant. Even though your smile is big and bright this photo is still forgettable.
Beth: As far as for the smile, I think you did good. I love the smile. I think it's natural. But in term of the other elements, like styling & setting, I didn't think you nailed it. I agree with Amanda regards to the Vibrant. This photo really needs that. This photo reminds me of a bad version for Cosmopolitan Magazine cover. But at least you smile.
Anna: You have an absolutely gorgeous smile here, Katie. It really does help to brighten up the mood of the whole image, but unfortunately, it still isn't nearly enough to wipe away the dreary blandness of it all. The wind in your hair and the simplicity of your outfit helps to bring out the idea of freshness, but your top is in desperate need of a color injection. You've obviously failed in the setting and background aspect of this photo shoot, but you should still be very proud of that smile.
Team Yellow (Hilary & Julianne)
Amanda: I think you forgot something I told you in Cycle 6 when you went and posted a photo without running it by me, your mentor, first. Like I was supposed to back then, Julianne is supposed to help you out now, and you're supposed to help her. Asking for her input may have helped here - because this smile isn't memorable in the slightest. I really can't see much joy in your face - it feels kind of forced, and that greatly robs the photo of its intimacy. We want a warm, intimate photo with an inviting smile that lights up the room, and this unfortunately isn't it.
Amongst a crap ton of candids. I can see where you struggled, really. The one you posted is by no means as ghastly as a couple other Smile photoshoots we've seen, but it still isn't that great. Depending on how your partner does, you have reason to worry. Sorry :/
Joan: Is this even a smile? I mean it looks like you’re getting ready to crap your pants!! I don’t understand! I agree with Amanda here and her photo she found its 100 times better. I do wish you waited for Julianne as well. But there is something good in this photo and that’s your boobs look fantastic, I never knew Hilary had such a feminine side to her! As for smile though, this is not good.
Anna: Hilary, I think it was brave of you to choose a shot that has you pointing straight at the camera; it takes an almost perfect face to pull it off, and you have proven here that you definitely have the right bone structure and proportions for it. Unfortunately, a symmetrical face isn't going to help you when it comes to this game; we need so much more from you than the gifts your parents gave you. First of all, an ability to read and follow directions would be a great start, and unfortunately, you have failed two out of the three things Beth asked of you. We wanted "fresh and vibrant", yet this photograph has an awkward sexy and seductive feel (just ask your boobs). You were also asked to choose something with a "great setting and background"...and you obviously failed in that regard. The smile itself looks forced and a bit awkward, and your lion's mane isn't doing you any favors either. I'm almost wondering if you decided to go with this photo because it's almost identical to the avatar Beth chose for you...and maybe you thought it would give you a free pass here?
Beth: I think you are a very beautiful woman. I love your face here. I can see your effort. But I have to agree with the judges. We're not sure if you really smiling in this
Joan: This photo shoot was about being relaxed and not looking uncomfortable. The only thing I can say I like is the hair and your eyes. But other than that I do not like this photo. Your pose is all wrong, I wish you looked more relaxed rather than looking stiff.
Amanda: I hate the pose. A lot. I don't like the dress, either. The pose + dress + expression = discomfort, all right. That isn't even a smile, especially when matched with your eyes. Now I am with Joan that you have great eyes, but this isn't the way we want you to look here. There's no background that pops, and there's no vibrance here. It's boring, and you look uncomfortable. Overall, it isn't very good. Sorry :/
Beth: I like it Julianne. I think you manage to look commercial with your age. The smile a little bit stiff but I really like the styling. Overall for me this is acceptable
Anna: Julianne, I really want to like this photo, because I think you have a naturally divine look about you, but that expression of yours really lacks sincerity. It almost seems as though the photographer was taking too long, and you've gotten to the point of, "Just take the damn picture already." I think the red dress and the movement in your hair helps to breathe a little life into the shot, but I'm afraid it's not enough to push past the shortcomings. There is no background to speak of, and your pose looks rather awkward. If you look at your hand specifically, it's almost cupped as if you're trying to hear something in the distance, rather than delicately brushing your hair behind your ear. It's these kinds of things you need to be mindful of as a model, and it's something for you to work on in the future.
Team Grey (Anne & Charlize)
Joan: Oh dear god! I was praying you would not pick this! You look like a drug addict in this photo. The quality makes your skin look horrible. I really cannot find anything I like about this photo. The makeup is horrible and the hair is a mess.
Anna: "Oh dear god" is right, Joan. I see an amateur high school photo here Anne, not a top model by any stretch of the imagination. I will admit your smile is decent, but the rest of the photo kills it. We asked for a great setting, and you decided to give us this depressing blue background. Your hair is a mess, and your "pose" (or the lack there of) is unfortunate. I know the theme this week is "Smile", and you've certainly delivered that, but we still expect to see a model.
Amanda: Ughh is right. You're one of my favorite actresses, and you pull THIS out? This doesn't even look like you! You look like a Goth after a horror show. Those black circles around your eyes are terrible, your skin is VERY white, and that "smile" is almost scary when paired with those. I also don't like your hair here - it's too black. It goes with that whole "Goth" thing. We want a model here, and this isn't an ad for Nobody Loves Me (4 points if you get the reference). If it were... well it'd be safe to say I could see why the store is called that. Sorry Anne, but this is scary, and it isn't "model." I want you to stick around, so you'd better hope your partner saves your butt :/
Beth: You look a little bit out of control here. Tone down your smile a little bit. I love your hair. Your make up not so much. I think you can do better than this but your have potential
Beth: I love your smile. Very beautiful & natural. But I'm not too excited with this photo. Especially the Black & White. I want to see something vibrant and commercial. Your hands a little bit distracting too. Other than that, I think it's an okay photo
Amanda: In a black and white photo, your smile, your emotions, the setting - they need to breathe color into it. None of them do here. It doesn't look bad or anything, but we wanted something vibrant. We didn't get that. This almost seems like a candid, which is bad. There is nothing special about it, but there isn't anything completely wrong about it, either.
Anna: Charlize, before I talk about this photo, you and I need to have a little chat. In this game, and in the fashion industry as a whole, you need to realize that you are on OUR time, not the other way around. Giving you 48 hours to complete this challenge was more than enough, and to have the audacity to ask for even one extra minute is completely unacceptable in my opinion. I know you had this photograph ready well before the deadline, and it would have served you well to post it then, rather than making 21 people wait for your royal highness.
Now that we have that out of the way, let's get to your shot. I think your smile is sensational, and your eyes also add a lot to your expression without stealing the focus. I love to see a model that knows how to use her hands, and I think you've got it half right here. The hand caressing your face is lovely, but the hand (picking something out of your ear?) is rather odd to say the least. I do think that the black and white here sucks some of the life out of the shot, and there is no setting or background to speak of either. Overall, I'm happy with your smile, but the other shortcomings and the fact that you were the only girl that couldn't deliver in the given time-frame means you won't be anywhere near the top of the pack this week.
Joan: Wonderful natural smile Charlize. You have such beauty in this photo however, that’s all I see is your smile. The arms not showing make the hands look very awkward, and background is very plain.
Team Brown (Kate & Sienna)
Amanda: This is kinda "Plain Jane" for me. I don't notice anything unique or special about this photo, and your smile is just okay given the way your face is shaped with this angle and lighting. I don't see this smile as anything that makes you stand out. I do like your hair, at least, but this is nothing special. It's not a crime against humanity or anything, thankfully, so you should be in the clear this week if your partner does okay. Hope for the best!
Joan: Plain Jane is right! This is a good photo but when you compare it to the majority of the other girls it is just way too plain. Nothing about this photo is memorable to me. The pose is nothing special, and the colors are just blah. Your smile however is pretty but as a picture overall it is not that great.
Anna: You look absolutely lovely, Kate. I find it intriguing how you have one of those versatile faces that can do soft, fresh, and inviting just as easily as bold, sharp, and edgy. You've certainly chosen the perfect expression this week, and your hair is beautifully represented as well. My one concern about this shot is it definitely has a generic quality to it; I would have liked to see a more fresh and energetic look and feel to this photo to match that vibrant smile. The background is incredibly dark, and I think a splash of sunlight could have really helped to liven things up.
Beth: I'm a little bit torn for this one. I love the fact that you look very commercial, and your styling is good but when it comes to the "Wow Factor", I don't see it in this photo. I'm not sure if this photo will stick in my head next week. But I think you have potential, Kate
Beth: Sexy, Fun & Flirty. I think your smile is very commercial. I think the angle is great. Even though there a hunky boy in this photo, my eyes goes straight to you and I'm not even a lesbian. Good week for you I think Sienna
Joan: Something about me really likes this photo. I like the smile and I like to see something different. I like how there’s a guy in the photo and like Beth said the attention is still on you. It’s cute, fun and something new! I like this Sienna!
Amanda: There are a few issues I take note of immediately - it's a bit too close-up, and there's some sort of watermark around your forehead. This looks like a low-quality magazine ad, and that's really unfortunate - you have a stunning smile. Your smile really does steal the show here, and it fits what we want exactly. The guy in the background is somewhat strange for me, however, he's not as big an issue as some other things. I think this is good - but I don't love it. At least I don't hate it either!
Anna: Out of all the photos I've seen so far, this one has me the most conflicted. On the one hand, your smile and eyes are absolutely sensational, and it's exactly what I was hoping for with this theme. On the other hand, there seems to be just as many things working against you. The cropping, and the way your head is sunk into your shoulders, almost gives this shot a claustrophobic feel, which is in direct contrast to your radiating expression. The man looking seductively into the camera is also rather off-putting, and I know you are already aware of that unfortunate watermark. Overall, I think I am more excited about this photo than I am disappointed, because Sienna, that smile of yours is pitch perfect.
