Hello, you wonderful judges, you!
I was a bit unnerved about this week's photoshoot, because Katie really felt like Summer was the only season she could work with, and, as you no doubt have noticed from the Orange Box team thread, I'm absolutely fabulous in the summertime, but winter's a bit harder to glamourize. But, at the same time, never let it be said that Emmy Rossum did not look out for her teammate. I might forget her name occasionally, but I would never throw her under the bus just to make my life easier. So, if this is what I have to do to help Katie, that's what I have to do.
So, I headed off into the barren snowy wilderness, in hopes of giving you something enjoyable. Here's what I came up with:
I chose this shot because it seemed like a very magical and fantastic shot. There's a lot of magic and mystery in the winter, with Christmas, and Jack Frost, the White Witch from Narnia, and countless other mythologies. I could be an Ice Princess, or the Northern Lights, and to me, I think this shot shows that winter isn't all about being cold and miserable.
Hope you like it!
...Oh, one thing I do want to say, though. I'm sure that right off the bat, one or two of you are rolling your eyes and going, "Emmy! Look at that horrible writing on the bottom of your photograph!" and planning to dock me points for it.
Far be it from me to argue with esteemed judges such as yourselves, but I would like to ask for some leniency on that particular block of text, because the original photograph looked like this:
I'm decent enough at photoshop, but I honestly don't think that I could have removed that lettering without seriously damaging the photo.
All my love!
